Firstly, as always prep the skin moisturise and prime. I applied MAC pro longwear as foundation and the pro longwear concealer and powdered with Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in medium dark. (I like to contour the face first before starting the eyes, and then pop on the blush at the end accordingly). I used a mac bronzer to contour the hollows of the cheeks and the temples.
Eyes:
I placed a paintpot from mac in bare story all over the lid to start off and put Gesso from MAC all over over the lid with some Brule eyeshadow from mac. For the socked I placed some coquette into the socked to build it up, and then placed a small but of carbon over it. Then for the hightlight on the brow I used a little Mylar from mac. I then filled the grows in with an angle brush and using a dark eye shadow and and softened by dragging a clear mascara brush through the brows. I used a MAC Prep and Prime Primer on the lashes as we really wanted to seperate them and make them more defined and lenghten also. If you remember the 1960's image of twiggy, her lashes were long and definded and seperated. I think completed the look using MAC's new Optimum Black Opulash (this mascara is a true black and is fab). I used a little of smoulder from mac in teh waterline, and put some on a angle brush and sweeped this under the lash line to go give another dark line and to darken up the look even more I did a gel liner (mac blacktrack) along the top lash line with a small flick at the sides (but not too much).
Cheeks:
We talked about the gorgeous Barry M blushers recently on the blog so we thought this was our ideal time to use them. We used the Apricot colour for the cheeks, to give a little sun kissed look by placing on the apples of the cheeks. My trick is to make the letter C with your blusher blush on the cheeks so that u sweep it all where it is needed, and any excess bring up onto the temples.
For the lips I powdered them first then placed a lip primer from mac on the lips. I wanted to get that peachy look that Bridget bardot has so I mixed some of lip mix products from MAC. These are professional products only available at the professional stores, so another alternative would be to use one of the rimmel apricot coloured lipsticks and I also know a new Irish company called Seka Cosmetics does a similar one too. I then popped a little of pink Lemonade from MAC over it to make it nice and peachy :)
Then to finish off, pop a bit of bronzer (with shimmer) dusted along the forehead, cheeks and centre of the nose and that polishes off the look.
