HELLO AUTUMN

ladies we are now at the end of summer insert sad face here on a plus side we have an excuse to do more shopping we need more scarves to add to the millions we have already you just cant have enough scarves also its a whole new change for our make up soon we will be reaching for our darker lipsticks and blushers and i cannot wait i love the whole smokey eye dark lips i know i know you shouldn't have them both but who cares what the powers that be say i like it i'm wearing it and as for the nails ooh i love a vampy red or an oul purple i'll be hitting boots for all the essentials especially for my skin, my skin gets very dry and flakey in the autumn and winter my lips crack ah sure i'm falling apart :) right now i'm using wet n wild lip balm on my lips and i must say its doing a fantastic job for the price €4.99 i have  used all sorts and it's by far my favourite
Summer in ireland has been an exciting one regarding make up we have seen the likes of wet n wild, nyx and physicians formula hit our stores and are amazing prices. i have purchased these products over the last few weeks and i do not feel one bit guilty as they are such good prices and i deserve it as i am a mammy no other excuse is needed.
so ladies say goodbye to the summer and what looks like the good weather and lets embrace this new season in style or in my case standing on the sidelines of gaa match getting rained on mascara running down my face one of these days i will master a look that works in this situation :)

Recently i bought a babyliss pro styler after years of using a GHD and i have to say as someone who has curly/frizzy hair they are a godsend, at the moment they  in tesco and harvey norman for  half price at 32 euro bargain i've bought three as xmas presents

PALLETTES

At the moment i have an obsession with pallettes in the last couple of weeks i have purchased urban decay, bobbi brown, smashbox and too faced (all which i will review) coming up to the xmas party season i will be trying them all cant wait :)

New Benefit foundation range

Soz ive been away for a few months globe trotting... :)

Just out doing some make up shopping today for my usual play stick foundation from Benefit. I was told, its no longer in stock!!! EEEKKK NOT GOOD !!

so instead, the very lovely lady gave me a cute tester in a little pint sized pump :) Im gonna try it out see if it suits....supposedly its better than the play sticks with better shades and coverage. Go get your free sample at all Benefit counters NOooooooooowwwwwW !! :)

Soap & Glory Cheekmate

Soap & Glory Cheekmate

Being a fan of Soap & Glory's bodycare line, I was elated when they launched a full makeup range earlier this year to Boots. Cheekmate, a cherry red cheek and lip stain, was top of my shopping list.

Like their bodycare line, Soap & Glory's makeup line is very affordably priced with fun concepts and great product design with their trademark sense of humor.
Enriched with Vitamin C, kiwi and raspberry extracts, Cheekmate is a lightweight gel stain that melds effortlessly into the skin for a healthy rosy color. It comes in a convenient travel-friendly squeeze tube that makes it easy to control the amount of product dispensed. The tube looks tiny with only 11ml of product, but the gel stain is well-pigmented so one only needs a very tiny amount for each application. Even with daily use, one tube is likely to last at least 4 months.

Aside from its non-greasy feel, I was also impressed by its lasting power on my skin. It wore very well over more than 8 hours without any fading, much better than most powder blushes that I've tried. The gel texture is also easier to apply without any streaks than Benefit's Benetint. I don't use it on my lips as I prefer lipglosses or lipsticks.


Here are some comparison swatches with the other cheek stains in my collection. The pic below shows (from left to right): Cheekmate, Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon, Essence Bloody Mary Blush Gel and Armani Blushing Fabric #1. Both Cheekmate and the Essence Blush Gel have a clear gel texture whereas the Becca and Armani blushes have more of a cream texture that sheers out to a translucent finish.

Compared to Cheekmate, Becca Watermelon Beach Tint has a more orange undertone while the Essence Blush Gel is more raspberry and Armani Blushing Fabric #1 is more candy pink. Only the Armani blush has the faintest hint of gold shimmer. Cheekmate is the most well-pigmented of the lot. All four can be layered easily for a more intense finish but Cheekmate takes the least amount of product to achieve an intense swatch of color.

When applying Cheekmate, I apply it much more lightly, like the swatch on the extreme left of the photo below. If you have access to Soap & Glory's makeup line, Cheekmate is definitely well worth checking out. I hope Soap & Glory releases more shades in the future.

Sienna Miller is rumoured to be pregnant that much we know but NOW American magazine Life & Style are saying the actress and her beau Tom Sturridge are engaged and all. Tom allegedly got down on one knee in Paris and allegedly presented the actress with a vintage ring.

Congrats Sienna, finally found happiness ;)

Nars Eyeshadows

I recently saw a picture of the gorgeous Khloe Kardashian promoting a new eyeshadow shade. When I saw it, I just had to have it. I wore it out on a night out last week and got lots of compliments. I have greeny/blue eyes as does khloe but this shade called 'Daphne' would go with just about every colour eyes.
